Can I bring my own dog on the tour?
Unfortunately that is not allowed. The husky live in a pack, and have a group dynamic where they are used with the dog handlers and/or owners guiding them. With guests following in the pack can this be disturbed. Besides that, does your guide not know the dog and how its condition is.

Can I pet the dogs at the husky farm?
Of course you can pet them! Some dogs can be more shy than others, but you will notice which dog loves attention. And if you are not sure, ask your guide.

And besides that you will have your “ own” husky during the tour.

After the tour they will want a lot of thank you cuddles before resting.

What if it rains, will the tour proceed?
In Sweden there is a saying, there is no bad weather, only bad clothing.

So absolutely we will do the tour if it is still safe! The guide can choose the route based on the weather, so perhaps if it is raining, the guide can make the decision to stay more in the forest rather than open fields.

As long as it is safe for you and the dogs, the tour will proceed.

What if it is really warm?
That is a little different, we don’t want the dogs to get overheated. Depending on the conditions, we can still do the tour, but then only stay in the forest and with enough water for us and the dogs.

Or the guide/huskyfarm will approach for a different tour setting, reschedule or cancel the tour.

Can I bring dog treats?
It is best to leave them at home, usually the huskies have a special diet. But we totally get you perhaps want to give them something. A good reward is the walking itself. But you can always ask the guide if you can give them a snack during or after the tour. He or she can accommodate the food they are used to.

Can everyone do the tour?
Yes, if you have a basic fit level you can absolutely do the tour. It is important you can walk properly, because this will be a big part of the tour. But besides that the guide will explain everything you need to know and how to use the belt. The guide will always keep a close eye on you, to make sure you are comfortable! Please let the guide know if it is not working out or you need any help. They are there to give you an amazing experience together with a husky!

What if we have someone in the group that is afraid of dogs?
That will be hard! But not impossible, the guide can help you if you want. You do also have the option to just follow without a dog, but you will have dogs around you.

Usually they are very focused on the work, but they can be loud and very enthusiastic.

So if you are very uncomfortable with dogs this might not be the tour for you.

If you just want to see how it looks, you can perhaps consider a kennel visit instead. They will explain how they work, show the equipment, the dog and perhaps meet some puppies (they are perhaps less scary).
